As a Forvis Mazars Forensic & Valuation Intern, you will develop expertise, expand your knowledge, and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development and perform services for clients across the country. Forvis Mazars’ Forensic & Valuation leadership team takes pride in creating and maintaining a supportive and respectful environment for our team members.  How you will contribute:   Preparing business valuation models and reports  Researching and analyzing industry, transactional, and economic information  Preparing for and participating in management interviews, either onsite or via teleconference  Assisting audit teams with reviewing and testing fair value estimates  Assisting with mathematical testing related to quality control procedures  Participating in investigations, litigation support, and forensic consulting engagements  Performing detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, analysis of potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstruction of financial statements  Applying technical research skills needed to gather, organize, summarize, and interpret data to arrive at a conclusion  Delivering Forvis Mazars’ commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external client  We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:  Effective time management  Strong oral and written communication skills  Ability to work well with a team as well as independently  Problem-solving attitude  Willingness to take initiative  Close attention to detail  Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines  Minimum Qualifications:  Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university  Some travel may be required, up to 20%  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite  Preferred Qualifications:  Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)  Desire or the ability to sit for the CPA exam  Desire to obtain the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials  Applicants for positions with Forvis Mazars must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
