Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Reports To: Director of Employee Relations, Vice President of Human Resources, or or equivalent leadership.

 

Job Overview:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides ongoing HR support and partnership to the assigned Client Operating Unit (OU). This role supports day-to-day HR activities including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, HR compliance, recruiting, and implementation of HR initiatives. The HRBP will work closely with business leaders and employees to foster a positive, engaging, and legally compliant work environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Support:

  • Provide daily HR support to employees and managers in areas such as employee relations, performance discussions, time-off policies, HRIS updates, and benefits navigation.
  • Assist with the implementation and communication of HR programs, policies, and procedures across the assigned OU.
  • Support talent acquisition efforts by partnering with hiring managers on job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to execute key HR programs including performance reviews, employee engagement initiatives, and training rollouts.
  • Participate in investigations and documentation related to employee issues, supporting compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Help maintain up-to-date employee records and data within the HRIS and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support change management efforts and organizational transitions by serving as a liaison between HR and the business.

Employee Engagement & Culture:

  • Serve as a resource for employees, providing coaching and support while helping to foster an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
  • Help identify employee development needs and recommend appropriate training or resources.
  • Participate in engagement activities and events that reinforce company values and employee satisfaction.

Compliance & Best Practices:

  • Ensure HR practices are in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and data collection to support regulatory and internal reporting.
  • Keep current on HR trends and recommend practical updates to procedures or practices as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of professional HR experience; prior experience supporting a multi-site or client group preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom or similar system experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and other compliance issues.
  • Expertise in analysis, critical decision making, project management, and process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, including proficiency in developing and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to client or satellite office locations (up to 20%).
  • Required to maintain an overall professional appearance and attitude.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures required.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 25 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
  • Physically able to talk on the phone and input data simultaneously.
  • Must be able to speak clearly in small and large group settings.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and ability to match or may include detection of differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.

 

Travel: Some travel is required for this position. Approximately up to 25%.
