We’re hiring a Principal Data Product Manager to manage teams in the Core Data Tribe to drive the strategy and execution of our foundational data products. You’ll lead the Core Funnel & Business Analytical data product areas—critical capabilities that help teams across Skyscanner make informed decisions and unlock growth.

This is a hands-on role  ideal  for  an experienced people manager who still thrives in getting their sleeves rolled up and connecting the dots across business, engineering, and analytics to deliver high-impact data solutions. Whether you’ve honed these skills within a product-led organisation or come from a data-rich environment elsewhere, you’ll find support and opportunity to grow here.

What you’ll be doing

  •  Manage, coach and mentor a small but high performing team of Product Managers
  • Define and execute product strategies for foundational and analytical data products
  • Partner with stakeholders across disciplines to identify user needs and innovation opportunities
  • Prioritise features, use cases, and requirements that deliver meaningful business value
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and data science teams to deliver impactful products
  • Establish and track KPIs that demonstrate the value and effectiveness of your products
  • Gather and analyse feedback and trends to guide continuous improvement
  • Champion transparency with regular product updates to stakeholders
  • Provide thought leadership on data product best practices and influence strategy across the organisation

About you

  • Solid experience of leading a team.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, skilled at connecting cross-functional teams
  • Experience defining product roadmaps and executing strategy in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across product, marketing, finance, commercial, and tech
  • Comfortable querying datasets directly (e.g. with SQL) to guide product insights
  • Knowledge of data concepts like warehousing, ETL, dimensional modelling, machine learning
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to identify and resolve delivery blockers proactively
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities; line management and mentoring experience preferred
  • Passionate about driving business impact through data products
