Hybrid Lawyer presso Hedgepoint Global Markets

JOB PURPOSE 

The Lawyer will be responsible for support the Legal area. This role will be responsible for review contracts with medium complexity, collaterals and advisory.

KEY ACTIVITIES

• Develop business initiatives and governance projects across hEDGEpoint operations.
• Prepare and implement manuals and procedures for the operational legal teams.
• Run the business legal team whenever required by its leader, concerning contracts negotiations and local/offshore projects (e.g., collaterals in new markets, regulatory analysis, etc.).
• Draft and Revise Contracts, standard templates, with a wide vision on new clauses needs arising from the development of the business or new laws, regulations, or market standards.
• Provide internal training about the matters of competency: to Legal and Compliance teams or to the hEDGEpoint global teams.
• Search for tech innovations and approaches on the area procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation in Law
• Registration at the Bar Association (OAB).
• Experience in the financial services industry (at banks, brokers, specialized consultancy, or law firms).
• Knowledge of laws and regulations surrounding financial markets, commodities, collaterals, and business environment in general.
• Knowledge or open to learn offshore market rules or standards
• Flexibility to assist in matters not totally related to legal practice (e.g. negotiations, business deals, etc.)
• Fluency in English, other languages are a plus

LOCATION: Vila Olimpia São Paulo/SP or Campinas - SP. Hybrid (up to twice a week at the base office)
