Inspera is on a mission to make education more inclusive, fair, and relevant through our innovative digital assessment platform. We're looking for a Product Designer (Level 2) to help us create simple, elegant, and accessible design solutions for complex educational workflows. This role will be based in India at the Bengaluru office (3 days in the office is mandatory). As a mid-level designer, you’ll contribute to key product initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape user-cantered solutions that empower educators and learners alike.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the end-to-end design process, from problem definition through ideation, prototyping, and final delivery.
- Work on meaningful product challenges that impact teachers, students, and institutions around the world
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to deliver user-centred and accessible design solutions.
- Participate in and lead design critiques, user research sessions, and cross-functional workshops.
- Translate complex user needs and workflows into intuitive experiences through thoughtful interaction design, visual design, and UX writing.
- Create and maintain design documentation, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and interaction specs.
- Contribute to Inspera’s evolving design system and ensure visual and functional consistency across products.
- Advocate for accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.2) in every step of the design process.
Education & Experience
- Formal education in Design, HCI, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience designing user interfaces for web applications or SaaS products.
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates a solid understanding of user-centred design principles, systems thinking, and attention to detail. Practical knowledge of UX theory and application.
- Experience designing responsive interfaces and working with component-based design systems and Up-to-date knowledge of Figma (e.g., Figma, Storybook).
- Comfortable with iterative design, feedback loops, and working in agile or lean environments.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and designing for inclusive experiences.
- Experience conducting or collaborating on user research and usability testing.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional partners.
