S.R. Snodgrass, P.C. is seeking candidates for our Help Desk Analyst position. This individual will be responsible for providing first-level support for firm technology and networks, including assisting remote and on-site employees. This is a part-time position (5 hours per day, 5 days a week) that requires a regular schedule of 12:00 – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday working in the office; a hybrid schedule of 2 days working from home and 3 days working in the office may be considered after training is successfully completed (typically after 90 days).
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Provide technical support for Windows laptops, software, printers, and network connectivity
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, escalating complex problems as needed
- Assist with password resets, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and security best practices
- Troubleshoot VPN, remote desktop, and mobile device connectivity
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise applications
- Perform software installations, updates, and patch management
- Track and manage IT inventory (laptops, desktops, peripherals, software licenses)
- Maintain IT documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles
- Ensure compliance with software licensing and IT security policies
- Provide end-user training on IT best practices and common troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with IT team to resolve issues and improve IT operations
- Support IT onboarding/offboarding, including equipment setup and account deactivation
- Configure and deploy laptops
- Process incoming/outgoing equipment, including shipping to remote staff
- Administer and support Microsoft 365
- Emphasis on PC refreshes and Windows 11 rollout
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external contacts as appropriate
Key Attributes of the Role
- Extensive knowledge of current technologies
- Advance desktop, laptop, server and mobile device support
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and server-side applications
- Strong client-facing communication and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability and openness to learn new technologies/concepts and take on additional responsibilities
- Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and current technologies
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and endpoint protection tools
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of help desk or IT support experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science OR equivalent experience
- Advanced Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications support (Active Directory, O365, PowerShell)
- Familiarity of basic networking fundamentals in enterprise WAN/LAN topology
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including user management and email support
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Able to work onsite 5 days a week if needed
