Job Summary

The SPE-Ins Claims role is designed for professionals with 2 to 4 years of experience in customer service, this hybrid role requires adaptability to rotational shifts offering a dynamic work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

§  Deliver excellent customer service and build customer satisfaction and loyalty. 

§  Effective and timely management of invoices allocated in the buckets from oldest to newest follow up date.

§  Accurately verify information to determine final resolution.

§  Manage actions that require escalated approval or correction.

§  Complete ongoing training to stay abreast of products, services and policy changes.

§  Work effectively as a team member.

§  Organize and prioritize daily tasks effectively.

Skill and Abilities

Description

Detail Oriented

It is imperative to have associates able to focus on details when reviewing billing information. AR associates are responsible for making sure that health information billing data is managed in an accurate and efficient way.

English Fluency

We are constantly working with long medical documents therefore it is important to identify and interpret key information that will guide us to take the most appropriate outcome.

Multitasking

It’s important to have associates with a good sense of organization since billing process require to work with multiples bills, referrals, insurance and point of contacts at the same time.

Effective Communication

Effective written and verbal communication is required since we are in constant communication with ADJ’s, NCM and clients daily, via email and phone.

Analytical Thinking

This particular function requires the ability to understand and follow medical diagnoses and confirm that billing information was properly created into the system. In addition to being analytical, logic and the ability to thoroughly analyze information are also important traits for AR researchers.

Active listening

Due to the nature of collections duties, associates will be required to pay special attention to all information given by Insurance companies, adjusters, providers, etc. Gathering the correct information is imperative to provide accurate resolutions depending on each scenario.

Pro-activeness

AR associates should be capable of anticipating problems, raising concerns, seeking new solutions and taking responsibility for actions as well as raising the flag to upper management when required.

Assertiveness

AR associates interact with a variety of people, including physicians, office staff, finance personnel and others in the same role. It is important to reflect determination and knowledge to avoid unnecessary escalations.

Responsibility

AR associates are required to achieve job expectations (productivity/QA) and fulfill daily work duties.

 

 

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

         High School graduate with advanced communication (reading, writing and listening) skills.

         1 year of customer service experience in inbound/outbound position.

·       1 year of experience with account receivable tasks, billing/ payor/ insurance terminology.
