Job Description:   

As a Financial Analyst II at BraunAbility, you will be responsible for a hybrid role that combines financial analysis and accounting functions. You will provide critical financial insights and support, while also ensuring accurate financial records and compliance. This position requires a versatile individual capable of handling both analytical and accounting tasks. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business planning and forecasting.   

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis and trend analysis.   

  • Develop budgets and financial plans.   

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.   

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.   

  • Perform general accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.   

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.   

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.   

  • Prepare financial charts and tables for the monthly MR&A packet.   

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.  

  • Reconcile and record bi-weekly payroll.   

  • Review and reconcile fixed asset ledger activity, compile supporting invoices, work with project managers to review spend and enter assets into FAS upon project completion.   

  • Reconcile vehicle inventory and vehicle floor plans monthly. 

  • Download and review daily bank activity reports and match all withdrawals with supporting documentation.   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.   

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.   

  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).   

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.   

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.   

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   

  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.   

  • Strong understanding of GAAP standards.  

  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, research and resolution, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills.  

  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards, with a track record of optimizing reporting accuracy and efficiency. 

  • Proven ability to align financial strategies with business objectives, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and profitability. 

Minimum Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldProven experience as a Financial Analyst, Staff Accountant, or in a similar hybrid role.
