We are seeking a results-driven Experiential Marketing Strategist to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of high-impact events and experiential activations. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution across audience targeting, budgeting, logistics, and sponsor acquisition. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in crafting data-driven, consumer-focused experiences, managing end-to-end event operations, and securing and nurturing strategic sponsorships. Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration are key to success in this role, along with a proven ability to demonstrate the impact, measure and maximize ROI.

Compensation

$72,000 - $86,000 annually

  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The compensation range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid.  All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive wages that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
     

What you’ll do

  • Strategy Development: Develops comprehensive program/product level strategies designed to promote health insurance products and services, aligning with company goals and market trends.

  • Market Research: Understands and leverages market analyses to identify opportunities, competitive landscape, and consumer behaviors - to inform future strategies.

  • Project Management: Manages the execution of projects/campaigns from start to finish. Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Content Management: Collaborates with internal teams to create compelling and compliant content that resonates with target audiences.

  • Performance Analysis: Monitors and analyzes the performance of campaigns/programs, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.

  • Budget Management: Tracks expenses and ensures c campaigns/programs operate within allocated budgets.

  • Purchasing & Vendor Management: Selects vendors and makes purchasing recommendations that support budget and marketing objectives. Supervises production with outside vendors; keeps projects within budget.

  • Partnership & Communication: Builds and maintains strong internal and external partner relationships. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team Collaboration: Works closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product, creative, digital, and media departments to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and programs.

  • Compliance Oversight: Responsible for ensuring all components follow and adhere to strict review, approval and documentation processes for CMS, KID, URAC and BCBSKS brand guidelines.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to clearly convey ideas, strategies, and campaign results. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Marketing Principles: Deep knowledge of core marketing principles, including advanced segmentation, precision targeting, strategic positioning, and optimization of the marketing mix (product, price, place, and promotion) to drive brand growth and market differentiation.

  • Industry Trends: Awareness of current trends, best practices, and innovations in marketing across various channels (digital, traditional, social media, etc.).

  • Data Analysis: Demonstrated knowledge of analytics tools and ability to interpret marketing data to derive insights and optimize campaigns.

  • Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts. Strong relationship-building skills to develop and maintain positive client relationships.

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive marketing plans that address client objectives and challenges.

  • Budget Management: Demonstrated expertise in strategic budget planning and oversight, with a strong track record of managing and optimizing campaign budgets to maximize ROI and align with business objectives.

  • Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, and oversee multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions to optimize campaign performance.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs, market conditions, and industry trends to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

  • Results-Driven: Commitment to achieving measurable results and KPIs, with a focus on continuous improvement and ROI for clients.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. OR 5+ years related Marketing/Business experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience: 3-7+ years business experience including marketing, advertising, product marketing, digital marketing, account-based marketing, sales, sales enablement, communications. Healthcare marketing experience preferred.

  • Interest or experience in healthcare, health insurance, or other highly regulated industries preferred.

Physical Demands
