Salary Range: $142488 - $195200 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the VX-23 RESOURCES and OPERATIONS BRANCH of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

Major Duties:

  • You will support, coordinate with, and respond to the Test and Experimentation Coordination Team (TECT) on matters related to platform coordination.
  • You will serve as a Team Leader for all test operations support personnel, such as scheduling, security, facilities, IT, and financial support.
  • You will coordinate with program sponsors and senior program leadership on specific program scheduling, milestones, and priorities on the assigned aircraft platform.
  • You will review test plans, aircraft modification requests, and Interim Flight Clearance requests to ensure they're compatible with aviation assets, compliant to safety requirements, and technically sound with test aircraft and aircrew applications.
  • You will work with squadron ops department to schedule aircrew, ranges, and support equipment.
  • You will ensure airspace requests are submitted in support of program requirements.
  • You will review and approve aircraft modification requests (AMR) to ensure the modified configuration is approved and acceptable for test.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting NAVAIR Test and Evaluation and familiarization with associated instructions; 2) Strong technical skills in understanding complex systems; and 3) Ability to lead and work across large diverse teams in a high pace flight test environment.
