Electronic Industrial Control Mechanic

Salary Range: $32.93 - $38.45 Per Hour

Job Summary: The incumbent provides comprehensive technical support for all CMOP automated equipment systems, such as automatic and semi-automatic packaging systems, automatic repackaging equipment, tote and puck conveyor systems, tablet counting and unit of use dispensing equipment, and production related computer systems.

Major Duties:

  • Major Duties: Troubleshoot equipment problems and take proper corrective action to restore the device to its fully operational level. Evaluate corrective actions for cost effectiveness. Evaluates the CMOP system and subsystems to determine what test and calibration equipment is required. Advise and consult with facility manager in equipment matters pertaining to selection, installation, or modification of equipment. Knowledge of programming, operation and troubleshooting of all programmable logic controllers (PLS's) as well as all input/output (I/O) devices. Qualifications: To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/04/2025. EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Requires working in unusual positions while assembling and disassembling equipment and tedious bench work while working on electronic assemblies.
