Job Summary:
The Flex Benefits Plan Build Specialist will oversee the planning and execution of the flexible benefits plan configuration and maintenance. This includes liaising with clients, coordinating internally, system configuration, developing solutions, data analysis and reporting. The position is the primary administrator of all flexible benefits programs from onboarding through retention of Flexible benefits, Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement accounts and related programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with sales team to understand sold products; configure and implement plans within benefits administration system
- Coordinate with various internal departments and external functions to support timely and thorough implementation and ongoing client retention
- Gather and analyze data, identify opportunities for process improvement, and recommend solutions for optimal service delivery
- Manage and configure the benefits system to include, but not limited to training users, activating/deactivating accounts, maintaining the system, posting transactions and handling client onboarding, maintenance, upgrades, changes and offboarding
- Be the reimbursement benefits data management expert applying a deep understanding of data interfaces to analyze, assess, report, and implement optimal solutions.
- Ensure high client satisfaction by successful management of client issues, resolve, escalate when necessary; communicate resolution to all parties
- Manage the daily service operations for the reimbursement benefits platform for smooth service delivery
- Administer banking arrangements for client funding, accurate posting of deposits/contributions/debits; ensure account banking partner transactions process correctly and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including healthcare legislation changes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes
- Research plan provisions contained in benefit plan documents; clarify ambiguities contained in the plan language and provisions. Ensure plan language conforms to the group’s intent.
- Coordinate the development of solutions for system related issues that may prevent the use of automated or standard processing methods.
- Assist in developing test plans, arranging, coordinating, and documenting system test cases.
- Perform system loads and updates, including software, contributions, etc.
- Provide timely documentation to users to help us reference, understand and implement system and/or plan changes; update documentation as needed
- Update the system to ensure claims are processed in accordance with plan specifications or changes.
- Document applicable changes in related systems
- Help to develop tools and best practices necessary to improve implementations
- Ensure completion of critical deliverables to ensure timely and accurate implementation of our customer’s benefit plans.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of reimbursement account benefits configuration and administration experience, Alegeus preferred
- Knowledge of benefits administration, pricing, reimbursement accounts and / or claims as well as legislation related to these types of offerings preferred
- Advanced knowledge of database applications such as Excel and Access
- Solid working knowledge of standard computer applications including MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability using a computer which includes expert keyboard and navigation skills and learning new programs
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers

Pay may vary based on location. Offers will be adjusted based on an individual's experience, education, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Pay range is $65,000-85,00/year
