Leadership/Team development:
- Leading and developing our mid-to senior level 10-15 person web application development team (Austria and remote) including DevOps and DevEx (Developer Experience) roles
- Driving the personal development of team members
- Working out KPIs for your team to make process improvements and team productivity transparent
- Conducting interviews for future talents and training the team to do technical interviews
- Driving and managing technological and architectural decisions for all web applications
- Establishing architectural guidelines and best practices
- Contributing to our observability, monitoring, and alerting efforts
- Ensuring compliance with our security policies and coordinate penetration tests in close cooperation with the companies CISO
- Planning and coordinating the development of multiple products together with product owners and user experience designers using scrum / kanban methodologies
- Defining and communicating development, architecture, interfaces, and organisational processes together with Messaging-Team and SRE-Team as well as with our CTO
- You will actively work in software development to get to know ecosio's applications and the challenges, especially in the initial phase.
- You have a strong impact on the department with your knowledge and experience in the development of frontend and backend applications.
- You conduct code reviews, and make technical contributions to product architecture as well as getting involved in solving bugs and delivering small features

- Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD
- Java frameworks: Spring, SpringBoot, Apache Camel
- Java libraries: JUnit
- TypeScript / JavaScript libraries: React, Material UI, Semantic UI, React Final Form, TanStack Query, React Testing Library, Cypress
- Data storage and querying: MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana
To connect with ecosio it is important to have…
- A degree in computer science, software development or similar (university, FH)
- 7+ years of work and leadership experience in a software development team
- Profound know-how in the field of Java and web development with JavaScript
- A very good knowledge of English and preferably also German
- A passion for mentoring, coaching, and transferring your own knowledge
- The ability to motivate a team of developers to have a high-level self-motivation and self-management
- A solution-oriented mindset
- Outstanding brokering skills: regularly achieve consensus amongst departments
- A good sense of finding the right balance between formal processes and autonomous workflows within the team and between teams
