About This Role
Join the Content team as a full-time Video Designer and contribute to the revolutionary mission of language learning!
In this in-house video editing role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to showcase video design expertise, producing dynamic and impactful educational content for a global user base. For those passionate about video production and education, this is an opportunity for meaningful contribution.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Produce high-quality learning videos in multiple languages for the app, ensuring excellence in both visual and audio quality, and timely delivery of content.
- Lead and manage video editing projects, collaborating with freelance editors to maintain consistency and high standards.
- Work closely with curriculum designers, writers, and production leads to ensure a seamless workflow for video content creation.
- Develop video prototypes tailored to various teaching styles and methodologies.
- Provide creative input to enhance the audiovisual components of the user learning experience in the app and contribute to post-production improvements aligned with the company’s brand and educational goals.
What They’re Looking For
Required
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong design skills, including experience in creating subtitles and graphics.
- Passion for creating engaging learning videos that empower language learners worldwide.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive, can-do spirit with the ability to take ownership of projects in a startup environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills as a team player.
- Fluency in English is required to communicate with global offices in the US, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Ljubljana.
Preferred
- LA-based applicants are preferred, but all US-based remote candidates will be considered.
- Experience in creating educational videos for Ed-tech companies.
- Prior involvement in leading or participating in large-scale production projects.
- Experience in vertical video production.
- Ability to think creatively and bring ideas to life.
- Proficiency in a second language (such as Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, or French) is a plus, with proficiency in Korean strongly preferred.
