Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Job Summary

  • Maximizes positive customer experience for regulatory personnel, agency force, and customers by identifying, understanding, and resolving their inquiries.
  • Initiates contact and responds to inquiries from state Department of Insurance regulatory units, Farmers EA/IA’s, DM’s and large account policyholders.
  • Responds to regulatory and service research needs of Loss Control management and field consultants.

Essential Job Functions

  • Works as a liaison for Farmers Loss Control and the various state Department of Insurance regulatory agencies to insure regulatory services compliance.
  • Maintains open communications with regulatory agencies to develop and foster positive working relationships.
  • Coordinates Loss Control services needed to resolve compliance issues.
  • Assembles and examines data and selects the appropriate Loss Control service for the best possible regulatory compliance solution.
  • Utilizes standardized techniques and practices for solving regulatory issues by application of individual reasoning.
  • Coordinates required regulatory compliance surveys and services for State identified hazardous employer accounts as identified or notified by Departments of Insurance.
  • Works with all levels of Loss Control management and field staff on the regulatory needs of the department.
  • Determines and recommends appropriate regulatory solutions to all levels of the department.
  • Handles customer service for Loss Control services and products and supports large account service processing and loss information systems.
  • Knows and follows product, system and loss control procedures for assigned responsibilities and territory.
  • Keeps up-to-date with changes.
  • Explains loss control corporate procedures, loss control philosophies, services and customer support initiatives to agents, and large account customers.
  • Analyzes and answers basic and intermediate loss control, service, and loss data questions.
  • Brings complaint calls to resolution using appropriate customer service skills.
  • Reviews problems, communicates with loss control consultants and management personnel to obtain information when necessary, and responds to agents and policyholders by telephone and through correspondence.
  • May refer most difficult or time-consuming queries to loss control consultants or management personnel.
  • Coordinates account servicing needs for assigned loss control consultants and agents.
  • Documents transaction information on system as appropriate.
  • Develops loss analysis base data for utilization by field consultants, customers and/or agents.
  • Attains service level standards as outlined in performance objectives.
  • Maintains efficiency of calls/electronic work and manages individual average call time, schedule adherence and after call work.
  • Continues to build personal skill set by participating in in-house and/or outside insurance/industry related courses/seminars as deemed necessary to expand product/system knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Besides some sedentary work, job duties require some or all of the following physical activities: Standing, carrying/lifting up to 10 pounds, seeing and hearing, walking, reaching, pushing and pulling, and speaking, reading, and writing.
