Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Architect with a strong background in eSIM (embedded SIM) and RSP (Remote SIM Provisioning) technology. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing robust eSIM lifecycle management solutions that align with our clients' needs and our company's strategic goals. Main Responsibility Areas:
- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance software architectures for eSIM and iSIM lifecycle management solutions. (e.g. RSP, profile, key management, security/cryptographic functions, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, technical sales, customers, ecosystem partners and other stakeholders, to define technical requirements and deliver cutting-edge eSIM/iSIM management products.
- Ensure the architectural integrity and consistency of eSIM management solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and propose enhancements to improve performance, security, and scalability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in GSMA & eSIM management technology, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies into the architecture.
- Mentor and guide development teams, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure high-quality software deliverables.
- Serve as a technical leader in eSIM/iSIM RSP, Consumer and IoT domain, deployment architecture (Cloud and on-premises) and GSMA SAS-SM product related requirements.
- Evaluate new technologies, evangelize with prototypes and define integration points by keeping up-to-date with technology development in the field.
- Lead code and design reviews, ensuring compliance with architectural principles and industry standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Architect, with a strong focus on GSMA & eSIM management technology.
- In-depth understanding of eSIM management architecture, standards, and protocols.
- Experienced in SIM/eSIM, Remote SIM provisioning and SIM OTA standards (e.g. GSMA RSP specifications, TCA, etc.) with telecommunication knowledge in 5G network architecture and network service provisioning.
- Knowledge in eSIM profiles, profile management, profile lifecycle, eSIM interoperability testing, HSM, Key Management/PKI/X509, authentication algorithms for both consumer and IoT domains
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture. Knowledge in Cloud, docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Database, Containerized Applications, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Ability to present the and explain the information clearly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and mentoring development teams plus managing multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mobile telecommunications and network technologies.
- Familiarity with security protocols and practices related to GSMA eSIM and RSP technology.
- Knowledge of IoT (Internet of Things) and its integration with eSIM management solutions.
- Certification in software architecture or related areas.
