App Service is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering and one of the top services in Azure all-up. In this role, you will have a chance to work on the largest services in Azure, solving unique and interesting problems.
Microsoft has learned to love Linux, and App Service Linux is one of the largest users of Linux in all of Azure. It is also one of the fastest growing subsets of App Service overall.
By working on App Service Linux, you will get exposure to distributed systems as well as low level linux OS and container technology. You will merge these skills to design a resilient and secure platform which is reliable enough for Microsoft’s biggest and most strategic customers.
We are looking for software engineer who is passionate about building and managing a service at our scale, and who can adopt a customer centric mindset. You will own features and services, but we also want software engineer who is not afraid of the unknown and will dive deep into ambiguous problems and come to elegant solutions.

Responsibilities
You will design and code features for App Service Linux. You will also improve internal platform operations to make processes more reliable, and the system more resilient. You will be given autonomy to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.
You will also participate in supporting the live service. This includes being on call, performing investigations, driving rollouts, monitoring, and root causing outages.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript Or Python.
- OR equivalent experience.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in the Software Industry.
- 1+ years with C# or similar object-oriented programming.
- 1+ years of experience with Linux based operating systems preferred.
