The Opportunity:

Under the direction of the Manager, Operational Performance, the Operational Performance Coordinator I will play an essential role in the review and recommendation of best practices within the revenue cycle operations as the first line of defense to operational excellence. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform independent review of playbook recommendations, best practice/best practice trackers, and operational risk criteria within the revenue cycle operations with the purpose of identifying opportunity and providing visibility and recommendations to the operational and executive leaders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate internal controls as well as operational and management policies/procedures and provide input into the annual review workplan.
  • Coordinate with service line leaders to identify areas of risk and assist Centralized Operational Excellence (COE) leadership in completing quarterly/ annual review plan.
  • Perform account level review of best practice to confirm implementation and effectiveness within the designated service area.
  • Perform reviews to measure compliance with policies, procedures, workflow and other applicable requirements.
  • Identify and document operational risks and controls within the operational processes and make recommendations to mitigate risks.
  • Report compliance risks to Internal Audit for further review and evaluation.
  • Prepare and present quality reports of review findings and recommendations to direct leadership for review and approval.
  • Participate in pre- & post-review meetings, providing support and recommendations for issues presented.
  • Ensure past review recommendations are implemented in review process.
  • Maintain current knowledge of laws/regulations regarding medical necessity, clinical documentation, compliance standards, and other general clinical and business matters.


Experience We Love:

  • CRCR or CSBI certification or willingness to obtain within 9 months of hire
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with MS Office products
