Daily Living Skills Provider at Forward Family Care, LLC

Description

As a Daily Living Skills Provider, you’ll support individuals with disabilities in building practical skills and participating in everyday activities after school or on weekends. You’ll provide respectful, person-centered assistance at home and in the community, adapting your approach to each person’s communication style and support needs.

Requirements

• Experience with individuals with autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, cognitive disabilities, or other disabilities is valuable; special education, behavioral health, social services, caregiving, childcare, or home and community care experience is also relevant.
• Knowledge of direct support, intellectual disabilities support, assisting with ADLs, and behavior management is helpful.
• Strong communication and client communication skills; American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus.
• Ability to drive a standard passenger car and provide driving or personal transportation assistance as needed.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills are preferred.
