Netsimco, a Saalex Company is seeking a Project Manager (Security Specialist) in Newport, RI.  This role provides support to the Security Department at the Naval War College. 

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $50k-$60k annually (depending upon experience)

Work Location: Fully onsite at the US Naval War College in Newport, RI.

Work Schedule: 7am-3:30pm five days per week.

Essential Functions:

  • Using available security database system to perform security badge maintenance and issuance.
  • Processing database entry and maintenance for visiting personnel and students' security information to facility participation in War College events, conferences, and war games.
  • Recording and entering students and visitors' vehicle registration information into required databases.
  • Processing and database system entry of visit requests received by the security department into appropriate systems for War College events, war games, and academic conferences.
  • Process War Game badges for attendees.
  • Tracking completion of training requirements for all personnel requiring access to NWC's SIPRNET.
  • Using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to assist the verification of clearance for individuals requiring access to classified spaces within the NWC.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required:

  • Experience and knowledge with DISS.
  • Experience and knowledge of military protocol.
  • Experience with database entry.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Associates degree or higher preferably in a related field.

Education:

  • Associates degree or higher preferably in a related field.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.  Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
