Are you an experienced and motivated accounting professional ready to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team at GenesisCare.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the GenesisCare business, with particular focus on lease accounting, capital expenditure and financial reporting.
Your strong technical accounting expertise, proactive problem-solving approach, and ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally, will set you up to excel in this role.
This is a full-time role based in Alexandria with Flexible work arrangements – (currently working from the office a minimum of 3 days per week).
More specifically, you will:
- Manage lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16, including recognition, remeasurement, and disclosure of right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.
- Maintain the lease register and ensure accurate monthly lease journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Manage end to end accounting for the Engineering department.
- Assist with the group consolidation process including intercompany eliminations and reconciliation of subsidiary results.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly reporting deliverables to investors and lenders.
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies, accounting standards and internal controls.
- Acting as a key contact for external auditors and being heavily involved in the day to day running of the year end audit process.
- Oversee the Capex and Projects Accountant in tracking and reporting capital expenditure across the business ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, systems, and controls
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance roles.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CA qualification.
- Ability to quickly learn complex financial concepts.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical skills in Finance and Accounting.
- Strong excel skills.
