Hybrid Trailer Technician - Up to $2,500 Sign on Bonus chez Amerit Fleet Solutions

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Trailer Technician in Kansas City, MO! The Trailer Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Class 7 - 8 trailers and will operate vehicles and test all working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation. Seeking a seasoned Trailer Tech with strong experience in structural trailer repair including crossmembers, doors, floors, and roofs. Must be proficient in DOT inspections and air brake repairs.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!

Pay Range: $22 - 32 / Hour (Depending on Experience) 

3rd Shift: Tuesday - Saturday: 10:00pm to 6:30am

What the Trailer Technician role looks like:

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

What our ideal candidate looks like:

• Must have at least 2-4 years' experience performing vehicle and trailer maintenance.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
• Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds
• Must provide own hand tools
• Perform DOT inspections
• Basic computer skills
• Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
