Salary: $60,500-$63,000 Annually

Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours.

 

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
 
  • The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) demonstrates and promotes 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for individual’s served and direct and indirect supports.
 
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
  • The RBT will analyze available data to help determine where, when, and why problem behaviors occur.
  • The RBT ensures respect for each person’s and his/her family’s life choices and individuality, facilitating quality outcomes for the people served.
  • The RBT will promote team work across all disciplines.
  • The RBT will model behavior modification strategies using the BSP to support the I/DD clients in the IRAs and Day Programs.
  • Providing 1:1 instruction using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to individuals diagnosed with an intellectual/developmental disability.
  • Establishing a positive relationship with the learner under the care of a BCBA.
  • Implement ABA therapy programs and behavior management techniques as directed by the BCBA based on the client’s treatment and behavior plan.
  • Complete data collection for each client as directed and communicate notable findings from sessions to the client’s behavior analysis applications and forms.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working with a variety of clients with different needs and abilities.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of staff members.
  • Maintain professional relationships with the client’s parents/caregivers and all other team members.
  • Adhere to scheduled hours and always demonstrate professionalism.
  • The RBT will assist with community outreach and staff trainings.
  • The RBT will report to and work closely with the BCBA/LBA.

  • Inspires and promotes customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Obtain, review and analyze behavior data regularly and make recommendations based on data
  • Work to reduce stigma
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Effective communication
  • Possess excellent relationship building skills, as well as, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team including leadership teams.
  • Possess sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics
  • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently
  • Ability to work independently
  • Computer literacy
  • Must maintain current license/certification/training
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, work eligibility status and have an excellent driving record
 
 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A High School diploma with some experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A current RBT certificate in good standing.
