Rugged Science is a designer and manufacturer of ruggedized, embedded computer products. We specialize in custom prototype development as well as sustained production runs. Our products combine metal enclosures, computers, displays, and electronics. We are expanding our Logistics Department and are looking for a Logistics Associate at our Sparks, MD facility.

Specific responsibilities of the Logistics Associate include, but are not limited to:

· Receiving incoming purchase orders within the ERP system (Global Shop)

· Pulling material for all orders based on work order requirements

· Packaging finished goods for shipment to prevent damage in transit

· Processing outgoing shipments to vendors and customers (domestic and international)

· Ensuring company SOPs are closely followed to maintain accurate inventory counts

· Completing inventory cycle counts as required

· Handling all material per SOPs to prevent damage to components

· Maintaining a clean and organized work space

· Supporting other departments to provide material as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to work closely with other team members on a consistent basis

Experience using an ERP system for inventory management and order processing

Experience processing international shipments

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and various other software packages

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast pace environment

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Ability to operate a forklift (preferred)

Experience with ITAR (preferred)

Ability to lift 50 lbs or greater (required)

Minimum Education and Experience

1 – 2 years' experience as a shipping/receiving clerk
