Hybrid Sanitation Associate - 1st Shift chez 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC.

Position Summary:
This position will perform a variety of tasks related to cleaning and maintaining all food production equipment and surrounding areas, including the Production Floor, Warehouse, and Gift Production areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Achieve daily sanitation goals

• Maintain all equipment used by the sanitation department

• Serve as the last line of defense to eliminate all potential sources of contamination from equipment and work areas

• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Report safety issues immediately to the supervisor

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble machinery

• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance

• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

Education/Experience:

• Prefer at least 1 year of previous sanitation experience in a factory environment

Complexity:

• Must be able to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple routine tasks

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

• Primarily factory environment with wet, slippery floors

• Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment

Physical Demands:

• Regular use of hands, arms, and hearing to operate and clean equipment

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and stooping

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
