The responsibility of the Purchasing Assistant is to support the purchasing department with procurement activities, including sourcing, ordering, and tracking of materials and supplies needed for the business.

1.1. Assist in the procurement of materials and supplies for the business.

1.2. Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and track deliveries.

1.3. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.

1.4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.

1.5. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management on restocking needs.

1.6. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including cost analysis and vendor performance.

1.7. Assist with the resolution of any purchasing issues or discrepancies.

1.8. Review daily requests for equipment, supplies, and other items to purchase

1.9. Assist with interviewing vendors and negotiating pricing

1.10. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories

1.11. Enter proper inventory controls and data into the computer system

1.12. Update and review charge codes to ensure accuracy with both charges and inventory tracking



Requirements

1.1. High school diploma or equivalent.

1.2. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.

1.3. 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related field.

1.4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

1.5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

1.6. Proficient with Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

1.7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

1.8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

1.9. Self-starter with a passion for procurement and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
