Vice President, Organizational Development
The Vice President – Organizational Development will lead the creation and delivery of strategies to ensure the organization has access to the necessary human capital initiatives and resources to thrive. We are looking for a compassionate and intellectually curious leader who is solutions oriented and has a passion for strategy creation and deployment.
In this role, you will develop strategies and initiatives to support a culture of development while remaining agile in the face of change. You’ll work with the Human Resources team and business stakeholders to understand individual, departmental, and organizational development needs and partner on solutions that deliver positive impact.
Essential Functions
In partnership with the CHRO, successfully lead the strategic plan that establishes the foundation of organizational development and retention as a part of Aqua’s culture
Serve as Project Leader on all Human Resources initiatives that solidify the foundation of the HR discipline within the organization
Collaborate with business partners to identify, develop, and deliver development and training solutions. Manage execution to ensure efficient achievement of business goals.
Design learning objectives, content outline, presentations, training methodology, appropriate job aides, and technology integrations to support development initiatives.
In partnership with the CHRO, successfully manage the internal communications strategy to include executive level strategic planning as well as the deployment of multiple modalities of effective communication to support organizational needs
In partnership with the CHRO, create, deploy, and oversee Aqua’s leadership development programs, operations development programs, and department specific onboarding programs
Partner with the CHRO to strategically manage the talent analysis philosophy and methodology including the development of robust individualized action planning
Provide strategic oversight and management of all organizational culture initiatives
Successfully partner with People Leaders to accelerate development for high-potentials and top talent within the organization
Partner with the CHRO and the VP-HR to create and deploy annual People Leader training
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Organizational Development, Education, or similar field, or commensurate work experience required
10 years of experience in Learning and Development, or a related discipline, with progressively elevated roles required
5 years of people management experience required
1 year of experience in the financial industry preferred
Experience with Articulate, Vyond, or similar platforms preferred.
Experience working within the Workday Learning Management System preferred
Excellence in execution; strong experience implementing strategic vision at both a leadership and tactical level
Curriculum delivery and facilitation experience
The ability to be successful and promote change in a complex environment
Attention to detail and accuracy required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
