Hybrid Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) PT & EVERY OTHER WEEKEND chez Generations at Applewood LLC

Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois has an immediate opening for an Experienced Wound Care Nurse- Flexible hours/days. To create a full-time position, we have available shifts on the floor. Candidate must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse with Wound Care experience. Wound Care Certificate, Training or Full Certification Preferred but we will accept candidates with just a couple of years WC experience.

Hourly Rate:

$35-42 depending if a LPN or RN

Plus you can pick up additional shifts working a cart as a floor nurse $2 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN):

• Skin evaluation for pressure sore prevention
• Medication application to existing wounds
• Educate patients to care for their own wounds
• Care for patient's surgical incisions, any pressure sores or any wounds caused from disease or injury

Requirements

Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN):

• Current RN or LPN license from the State of Illinois
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) or Vohra Certificate or ability to complete certification preferred
• Wound Care experience required
• Personable and professional with residents, families, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
