About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager (Hybrid from Cape Town) to lead and oversee all core human resources functions. You will play a key role in recruitment, performance management, onboarding, training, employee relations, and policy compliance. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with strong organizational skills and a people-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  • Draft and publish compelling job advertisements
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify top candidates
  • Conduct interviews and manage the selection process
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Manage offer and contract processes
  • Maintain a proactive talent pipeline
  • Track and report on hiring metrics

2. Performance Management

  • Ensure a transparent and structured evaluation process
  • Coordinate performance review cycles and performance improvement plans
  • Analyze and report on performance trends

3. HR Analytics and Reporting

  • Collect and analyze HR data (recruitment, performance, turnover, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy and use insights to recommend improvements
  • Deliver reports to management

4. HR Policy Development and Compliance

  • Draft, update, and communicate HR policies
  • Ensure compliance across the organization
  • Track policy updates and employee acknowledgments

5. Payroll 

  • Process monthly payroll and maintain payroll records
  • Liaise with the finance department
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and ensure accuracy

6. Training and Development

  • Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training programs
  • Track training attendance and completion
  • Support employee development plans

7. Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees
  • Promote a positive work environment
  • Mediate conflicts and manage disciplinary processes
  • Monitor morale through surveys and engagement tools

8. Onboarding of New Employees

  • Prepare employment contracts, access credentials, and welcome kits
  • Deliver engaging company orientations
  • Ensure integration with teams via mentors and training

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role (minimum 5 years)
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience with HRIS and recruitment tools
  • Excellent organizational and reporting abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Working Days/ Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00am to 6:00pm (South African Time)
  • 'HYBRID' position (2 days office, 3 days home) , from Cape Town, South Africa
