The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our finance team in Vancouver, BC. You’ll play a key role in supporting accounting and payroll functions that help keep our operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do
Working closely with experienced accounting professionals, you’ll contribute to a variety of financial and administrative tasks, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and payroll support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the invoicing process:
- Retrieve and organize receipts via ExpensePoint
- Upload invoices to various client portals
- Email finalized invoices to client
- Support Accounts Receivable:
- Post payment remittances in Ajera
- Reconcile deposits to monthly bank reports
- Follow up with project managers weekly on missing rate information for work-in-progress (WIP) items
- Project setup and maintenance in our ERP (Ajera)
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Review and verify employee timesheets for completeness and accuracy
- Support payroll data entry and maintenance in systems such as Payworks, Ajera, and NetSuite/SPP
- Enter payroll and benefits-related journal entries into the accounting system
- Update employee records with changes to salary, benefits, or job status.
Additional Tasks:
- Create new customer profiles in NetSuite
- Update project details in Net Suite and sync with Suite Projects Pro
- Assist with other related accounting tasks as needed
Note: Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs and your individual growth in the role.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting-related role
- Familiarity with standard accounting functions such as invoicing, accounts payable/receivable
- Payroll experience is a bonus, but not required
- A solid understanding of budgets, billing, and revenue tracking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; quick to learn new systems and platforms. Experience with NetSuite would be asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
- A problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking skills

Work Schedule & Flexibility
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Vancouver, BC. We offer a hybrid work model—a combination of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility—to support work-life balance while staying connected with your team.
Compensation
Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
