Are you the enthusiastic and self-driven Payroll professional we are looking for? We are a global People Operations dynamic team seeking our missing piece!

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to strengthen our People Operations team in Madrid! You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees in Spain, in compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Processing monthly payroll for Valmet’s Spain locations, including salary, bonuses, and deductions. 
  • Managing time and attendance control. 
  • Ensuring compliance with Spanish tax, social security, and labor regulations. 
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation. 
  • Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and timely payments. 
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters. 
  • Liaising with external payroll providers and government authorities as needed. 
  • Supporting audits and reporting requirements related to payroll. 

What you need to be successful:

  • Degree in Finance, Law, HR, or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in payroll processing in Spain.
  • Strong knowledge of the Spanish payroll legislation and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
