We are looking for a client-focused and dynamic Solution Architect for our Edmontonbranch! You will contribute to the business by designing tailored client solutions providing client support in a professional and courteous manner.
Expected Salary Range plus 15% variable earnings
Overview:
The Solution Architect possesses and demonstrates experience and skills in designing, architecting and implementing solutions within the Long View Microsoft portfolio. The Solution Architect understands client requirements through strong business and technical consulting skills and is proficient in creating and implementing proven solutions that solve business challenges. The Solution Architect has a breadth of understanding and experience across several technology solutions, is proficient in creating complex multi-technology solutions across multiple architecture domains.
What Your Role at Long View Looks Like:
Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challenges
Design, architect and implement standard or custom technical solutions (at times oversees the design, architecture and implementation)
Develop complete technology solutions across a breadth of technology options, taking into account all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security and recovery items
Create relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)
Industry Events Collaborator
Represents Long View at vendor and industry events as required
Participate and contribute including sharing learnings and information with the larger Long View team that is not present at the event
May host presentations and/or education sessions
Trusted Advisor
Align with clients to build long term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long View
Analyze complex requirements and develops IT strategies and multi-technology solutions aligned with industry-accepted best practices
Keep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partners
What You Bring to Long View:
10 or more years of experience working as a subject matter expert in at least 2 technology areas (Microsoft, cloud, virtualization and networking), one of which must be Microsoft
Advanced level understanding of a wide range of technologies such as: Server, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/LDAP, ADFS, Office 365, Azure, System Center Suite, Intune, Hyper V and VMware vSphere
Capability to translate technical features into tangible business benefits
Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
Ability to facilitate impactful workshops (envisioning workshops, art-of-the-possible sessions)
Familiarity with the sales process and willingness to work within the approved Long View processes
Previous experience responding to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
Demonstrated life-long learner who is motivated to stay relevant in area of expertise
Solution focused mindset and creative thinker
Strong consulting, collaboration and leadership skills
Exposure to new and emerging technologies such as MS Teams is considered an asset
Microsoft related technical certifications
