Position Summary

The Senior Commercial Manager Germany leads the cross-functional preparation and implementation of local marketing and sales initiatives in close collaboration with the Commercial Director with the goal of bringing Amicus’ innovative medicines to patients with rare diseases.

The incumbent will work closely with International/Global, the local Sales and Medical Affairs functions to develop and execute local and international initiatives for Amicus approved products in Germany and support of DACH region. He/she will monitor impact by setting and measuring business relevant KPIs, analyze and integrate insights to provide recommendations for decision-making. He/she will ensure compliance of any material, training and external communication with all Amicus policies and procedures as well as local regulatory and legal requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:
 
The Senior Commercial Manager Germany is working closely with the Commercial Director and is responsible for:
·        ·        managing the development, execution and tracking of the Commercial tactical plan in close collaboration with the Commercial Director and based on Global/International product strategy
·        leading the local brand team to ensure cross-functional input, assessment of market needs and development of tailored communication initiatives and strategic projects to address the diverse needs of HCPs and their patients, infusion nurses and home infusion providers and other stakeholders alongside the patient journey.
·        leading the development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives based on the commercial plan including but not limited to:
o   the localization of Marketing material and commercial initiatives based on Global/International pre-work
o   the translation of scientific content into external communication in close collaboration with Medical Affairs for external material and to present Amicus and the approved products at national and local congresses and events as well as other external communication channels.
o   the adaptation of content for omnichannel implementation in close collaboration with the Omnichannel Manager
o  the preparation of sales team trainings in close collaboration with the National Sales Manager to ensure effective execution of commercial initiatives in the field
o  the internal approval to ensure compliance with German/Austrian/Swiss regulations
·        working closely with the Commercial Director, National Sales Manager and international team to monitor sales activities, sales results, 3rd party sales data and other external data sources to prepare integrated performance reports and dashboards for field teams and management
·        support operational alignment, execution excellence and targeting and profiling approaches and adapt CRM systems accordingly in close collaboration with Global Decision Support team 
·        preparing and executing disease- and product related Market Research and secondary data projects and manage initiatives to observe market trends and competitive intelligence incl. input from the field teams.
·        supporting the Commercial Director in preparing business reviews and forecasting
·        managing external agencies by providing effective briefings, manage contracting and financial processes.
·        manage the commercial budget in close cooperation with the Commercial Director and Finance


Requirements
 
Educational Requirements
·        Science and/or Business Degree
 
Professional Work Experience Requirements
·        Min 5 years of experience in commercial roles in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry and track record of achieving business goals. Ideally commercial operations/ excellence and marketing experience preferably in a rare disease indication.
·        Substantial experience in
o   Product Marketing and product launches
o   Implementation of Marketing initiatives and sales force support
o   Strategic planning and market analysis
o   Implementation of sales force analytic tools, dashboards and CRM systems (e.g. Veeva)
o   Definition and monitoring of key performance and sales force effectiveness indicators
·        Experience in Strategic and Operational Product Marketing and the successful development, implementation and monitoring of commercial initiatives in a cross-functional and international set-up as well as with external stakeholders
·        Deep understanding of the health care system and its various stakeholders in Germany and good understanding of Germanys reimbursement processes
 
Experience and Skills
·        Business acumen; excellent analysis and project management skills
·        Strong presentation & effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication & listening skills
·        Fluent in German and high proficiency in English language
·        In-depth Knowledge of German pharmaceutical regulations as well as other industry rules operating and financial processes, policies, procedures and regulations alongside with medical and clinical terminology
·        Proven ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
·        Engaged integral team-player, thrives in a team and x-functional environment
·        Energetic, self-motivated with a hands-on mentality, and results orientated.
·        Proven self-starter who works independently and solution oriented when presented with challenges
·        Ability to manage a demanding schedule, and adapt and be flexible as needed with evolving priorities in a dynamic, expanding environment
