About the opportunity
Mercy Health is recruiting a Senior Communication Advisor to focus on Healthy Ageing and Support Services. ('Support services' - commonly known as corporate communication.) The role sits within a small, collaborative and collegiate communication and engagement function and will suit a generalist with external and internal communication experience.

Key activities:
Deliver communication strategies for organisation priorities (focused on healthy ageing & corporate communication); write and edit content such as news articles, speeches, internal newsletters and social media posts; proactively develop and maintain a network of contacts to source content and increase engagement; maintain high standards of accuracy and project a positive image for Mercy Health.
Develop and deliver internal communication strategies; create content for employees that is engaging and high quality.
Contribute to social media content and strategy.
Monitor the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns and adjust approach based on feedback and data.
Identify reputational risk and liaise with internal stakeholders to mitigate and respond.
Provide confident, evidence-based advice about communication to colleagues including senior management.
Contribute to key projects across the organisation where necessary. Whilst the portfolio focus of this role is Healthy Ageing and Support Services, support will be required on other topics (eg Health Services) from time to time.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
