The Opportunity

This position is a remote opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a Sr. Manager, Field Coaching and KAM Development, you will be reporting to the Director of Sales Training and is designed for a dynamic individual with a strong background in sales, training and account management. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Regional Sales Trainers who conduct field coaching, as well as orchestrating the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills of Key Account Managers in Local Healthcare Markets, Market Access, Trade and DME teams. We are seeking a strategic and people-focused leader to join our team.

What You'll Do

Field Coaching

  • Lead and develop a team of Regional Sales Trainers (RSTs), setting coaching priorities each semester in alignment with Sales Leadership and the Director of Sales Training.
  • Conduct biannual business reviews with RSTs, showcasing measurable results and growth.
  • Provide development opportunities for Regional Sales Trainers aligned to development and business needs.
  • Oversee the District Sales Trainer Program and determine development opportunities.
  • Support national training initiatives, including national and regional sales meetings.
  • Conduct quarterly field visits with the HCP sales team to determine strengths and opportunities for training and coaching.

KAM Development

  • Orchestrate training on KAM competencies aligned to the Global Skills Framework, including Strategic Account Planning, Commercial Acumen, Stakeholder Access, Cross Functional Collaboration and others.
  • Partner with KAMs during account engagements to assess performance, identify development opportunities, and provide actionable coaching aligned with strategic account goals.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and implement tailored development programs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through KPIs and adjust content to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices.

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in life sciences, including people management, Key Account Management and Sales Training experiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of strategic sales, client relationship management, and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
  • Effectively work with variety of individuals and at all levels of management to gain consensus on program development / delivery
  • Willingness to travel as required for team meetings, field visits and sales meetings.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Familiarity with modern training platforms such as Allego or similar.
  • Familiarity with the Medical/Legal/Regulatory approval process for sales materials.
  • Program management experience.

The base pay for this position is

$127,300.00 – $254,700.00
