Description
WSU Tech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Developer to support and enhance our college information systems. This role is responsible for managing client-server applications, integrating data systems, and supporting enterprise-level software that serves students, faculty, and staff.
This position plays a key role in maintaining system performance, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to innovative technology solutions across the college.
Compensation: $63,065.60/yr
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer server and desktop software to ensure reliable access to college systems
- Support and manage ERP systems (including Banner modules)
- Oversee real-time and batch data integrations between system components
- Monitor and report on system performance and usage
- Maintain and update web-based applications, including patches and upgrades
- Ensure system security and data integrity across platforms
- Troubleshoot and respond to technical support requests from users
- Collaborate with IT team on projects, priorities, and system improvements
- Participate in ongoing professional development (minimum 20 hours annually)
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Experience with:
- Educational information systems
- Programming (HTML, JavaScript, .NET/Visual Basic)
- Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
