Responsibilities:

  • Attending meetings with design/merchandising, sales
  • Daily meetings with the head of the department
  • Ordering proto and sample yardage
  • Create fabric charts and assist all fabric development from L/D, Y/S to sy stage
  • Daily communication with mills, vendors, and factories
  • Attending fabric appointments
  • Maintain and organize fabric library - file lab dips, sy, linings.
  • Managing tailoring charts, binders, working with NY factories on urgent tailoring samples.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in textiles and/or degree in textiles required
  • Strong understanding of fabric types and construction as well as basic knowledge of yarns, production processes, and finishing techniques
  • An interest in textiles and desire to learn more about fabric sourcing
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

 

The salary range for this full-time position is dependent upon experience between $60,000-$65,000.
