Job Description:

Summary:

The Teaching Assistant will assist General Chemistry faculty by attending Science Hours and other study sessions, providing peer-to-peer assistance, instruction, and tutoring.

Essential Functions:

  • Teaching Assistant should attend Science Hours on Wednesdays, 3pm – 5 pm.

  • The assistant should assist with problem-solving strategies.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • Student.

  • Federal Work Study,

  • 6 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $18 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Completed General Chemistry I & II and Organic Chemistry I & II with a B or better.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience, including but not limited to, supplemental instructor for any course.
