Major Duties and Responsibilities: Provides individualized specialized support services to students with hearing loss; teaches and monitors all oral communication skills; teaches deaf and severely hard- of-hearing pupils lip-reading, acquisition of language and speech, reading, and written language, auditory training, use of residual hearing and other sensory abilities and acquisition of academic subjects of the regular curriculum adapted to the deaf or severely hard-of-hearing pupils; acts as a link between the school and family of the deaf or hard of hearing child; maintains student records, attendance accounting, and pupil progress reports.

Yearly Salary Range: $107,405 - $139,477 Master’s Degree yearly Stipend: $1,500 - Doctorate Degree yearly Stipend: $2,000

Condition of Employment: Employees are required to submit to a Department of Justice background check and provide proof of freedom from tuberculosis and vaccination of Measles.
