Senior Eletrical Engineer en Technical Systems Integration

Description

The ideal candidate will provide senior-level electrical and electronics engineering support for Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) programs at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division. Lead sensor and payload development, electrical system design and testing, and fleet engineering support for critical Navy mine countermeasure systems including Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs). Support research and development activities, test and evaluation operations, and provide technical expertise for electrical systems throughout the complete system lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop UMS-related engineering concepts and design solutions for sensor and payload systems.
• Perform scientific and engineering analyses, trade studies, and component/subsystem tests for electrical systems.
• Conduct modeling and simulation to investigate problems and develop alternate technical approaches.
• Develop and provide hardware prototypes and test sensors for Government-conducted test and evaluation events.
• Provide test and evaluation support, including test plan development, test documentation, and mission debriefs.
• Configure and de-configure test platforms as required for testing phases.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on UMS electrical systems and support equipment.
• Support Organization-level and Intermediate-level electrical maintenance for UMS and Mission Package efforts.
• Conduct design analysis to determine operational and maintenance performance measures for electrical systems.
• Provide fleet engineering support, including on-site engineering investigations and consultant engineering assistance.
• Support Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Unmanned Surface Vehicle systems, including supply support and hardware coordination.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
• 7+ years of professional experience in electrical/electronics engineering
• Experience with sensor and payload system development
• Electrical system design, testing, and troubleshooting capabilities
• Knowledge of unmanned systems integration and testing
• Experience with research and development engineering concepts
• Test and evaluation support experience, including test plan development
• Preventive and corrective maintenance experience for complex electrical systems
• Understanding of design analysis methodologies
• Fleet engineering support and field troubleshooting experience
• Hardware/software integration capabilities
• SECRET security clearance
• U.S. citizen
