Business Intelligence (BI) Performance Specialist II – Business Intelligence

Work location: Texas Health Resources, 612 East Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011
Primarily remote however, must live in the DFW area or be willing to relocate to the DFW area.
Work hours: Full-time, Day shift; 40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Here’s What You Need
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related discipline. (Required) and
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Science, Information Technology Data Analytics, Statistics, or related discipline. (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant analytics experience in BI/EDW or IT Development, Analytics, or a closely related field with significant hands-on job experience developing with modern BI visualization software, data preparation tools, and SQL to support decision making with a bachelor’s degree. (Required) Or
- Minimum 1 Years Relevant analytics experience in BI/EDW or IT Development, Healthcare, Consulting, Finance, Analytics, or a closely related field with significant hands-on job experience developing with modern BI visualization software, data preparation tools and SQL to support decision making with a Master's degree. (Required) And
- Strong oral and written communication skills (Required)
- Experience working both collaboratively and as an individual contributor (Required)
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing relational database models to support semantic layer development for dashboards and reporting. (Highly Preferred)
- 5 years of relevant experience (Highly Preferred)
- 2+ years of relevant experience with Tableau (Highly Preferred)
- 2+ years of relevant Experience with Alteryx (Highly Preferred)
- 1+ years of relevant experience with AWS Redshift, S3, Athena, and Data Zone (Highly Preferred)
- 1+ years of relevant experience with Azure Dev Ops (Preferred)
- Experience in Healthcare, Health Insurance, or related field. (Preferred)
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with business leaders, SMEs, analysts, EDW team, application teams and other stakeholders to rapidly design, develop, test, and implement production Business Intelligence solutions.
- Automate dashboard data preparation/integration using THR standard data preparation technologies.
- Promote use of EDW as a data source and adhere to EDW architectural standards. When necessary, adhere to development and support standards for BI production dashboards that source directly from non-EDW sources.
- Participate in design reviews, providing feedback on performance, scalability, and adherence to standards.
- With minimal guidance, work with business sponsors, SMES, and application teams to gather and document business requirements, analyze, assess availability, quality, and data lineage of source system data.
- Use visualization techniques such as wire frames and rapid prototyping of dashboard visualization to facilitate needs analysis discussions to ensure solutions that meet business information requirements.
- Assist analysts in developing their technical capabilities and aptitude to support self-service enablement.
- Support production BI applications to manage source system changes, optimize application and ensure availability, accuracy, security and acceptable performance.
