Coord Facilities
Department: Facilities – West Branch
Daily Work Times: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Scheduled Bi-weekly Hours: 80
This position is responsible for providing facility support and coordination for the McLaren Bay Region building in West Branch. Responsibilities include mail distribution, restocking throughout facility, assisting in coordinating and implementing physical moves and changes to and within the facility, facility maintenance and safety, vendor services, and monitoring customer satisfaction. In addition, assists in the development and compliance of Environment of Care management programs so as to provide a safe, functional and effective environment for employees and visitors. Serves as a resource or liaison for departments on any questions that may impact employee safety.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all daily mail delivery throughout facility (receiving, sorting, delivering);
- Responsible for providing security coverage when needed.
- Responsible, in coordination with facilities, for the design, implementation and ongoing support for the Emergency Preparedness program, including developing site-specific safety plans for the facility.
- Coordinates support of maintenance and repair requests with McLaren facilities services and/or external vendors, resolving or escalating service issues when appropriate.
- Responsible for all third party contracts which includes daily supervision to ensure they are properly performing the services.
- Provides support in the preparation of reports and support of management and various committees. Analyzes report data and report results to management.
- Provides logistical support for office moves, coordinating with other departments including construction services.
- Provides written reports of the conducted audits. Develops and provides requested training on specific safety related issues, such as security or use of safety devices.
- Maintains, monitors, and provides all reportable documentation required by authorities having jurisdiction for assigned equipment and services.
- Adheres to all McLaren policies and procedures.
- Monitors and maintains distribution of keys to staff and vendors; schedules and maintains meeting room reservations and schedules.
- Ordering supplies and services from vendors.
- Other duties as assigned or when necessary to maintain efficient operations of the department and the company as a whole.
- Associate degree in building maintenance technology, business or related field. (Equivalent combination of High School diploma and 5 years’ relevant experience may be accepted.)
- Five years’ experience in building maintenance and environment of care.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Seven years of experience in facilities and environment of care in a healthcare setting
