The Highlands is looking for new and enthusiastic people to join our Food Market team! You will be helping our Food Market guests and/or taking orders for delicious Champion’s pizza. This is a full-time or part-time position with flexible scheduling, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the perks that come with working for an amazing resort.

Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Primary Responsibilities (60-80% of time) 

  • Answer phones to take pizza orders 
  • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them. 
  • Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques. 
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other available products. 
  • Communicate orders to cooks 
  • Enter orders into the Point-of-Sale system 
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. 
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all products and services. 
  • Always aim to create a positive customer experience. 
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. 
  • Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them. 
  • Receive and process customer payments. 
  • Balancing cash drawers and making daily deposits. 

 

 

Secondary Responsibilities (20-40% of time) 

  • Stock, rotate, and store products correctly. 
  • Working with team members to maintain a clean, tidy work environment.  
  • Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the daily checklist. 
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Must be 18 years of age or older (no specific diploma or degree required).

  • Experience: At least 6 months of customer service experience.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Technical: Cash handling, menu knowledge, teamwork.

    • Software/Systems: Proper phone etiquette, use of POS (point-of-sale) systems.
