Fire Sprinkler Service Helper

Summary

Assist inspection technicians in testing, inspecting, and servicing wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire protection systems, valves, and related equipment for commercial, residential, and industrial applications in compliance with current codes and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist in performing inspections, testing, and minor repairs of fire sprinkler systems per specifications and NFPA standards.

• Help document inspection results and deficiencies for customer records.

• Carry and set up equipment such as ladders, gauges, and tools for inspection technicians.

• Assist with verifying proper function of sprinkler heads, valves, and flow alarms.

• Communicate with foreman, superintendent, or inspection technician regarding any safety hazards and discrepancies found on the job site.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Adhere to company safe working policies and procedures at all times.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or 0-6 months related experience or training.

Additional Requirements

Clean pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle report. Valid drivers license.
