Are you a Graduate Nurse Practitioner student looking for real-world behavioral health experience in a supportive, mission-driven environment? At Easterseals PORT Health, we’re proud to partner with accredited universities to provide meaningful clinical placements for NP students. This opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience in behavioral health and integrated care while learning from experienced providers who are passionate about helping people live their best lives.


Your Role in Our Mission
As a Graduate Nurse Practitioner Intern, you’ll join a collaborative, integrated care team delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. During your placement, you will:

  • Observe and participate in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment planning
  • Support medication management and patient education activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members during treatment meetings
  • Learn EHR documentation, compliance, and clinical workflow processes
  • Gain exposure to trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care approaches

This placement offers a valuable opportunity to apply your classroom learning in a real-world setting while making a meaningful difference in your community.


Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking graduate-level nursing students currently enrolled in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, including:

  • Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Successful students demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a strong commitment to behavioral health and recovery-oriented care.

Duration: Per university academic schedule
