POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Principal, instruct an art program involving demonstration, lectures, discussions, and student activities for optimal learning utilizing California State Standards. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES– E=Essential Duties Use the District adopted art materials to deliver art lessons to students E; collaborate with teachers to coordinate instruction E; communicate with teachers, students and parents regarding student progress E; coordinate with site administration E; other responsibilities as detailed in the Albany Teacher Job Description; other duties as assigned E; provide individual or small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students and accommodates circumstances where a variety of skills are being worked on simultaneously E; establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior in order to provide a total atmosphere for learning E; evaluate pupil’s academic and social growth in a fair and equitable manner, including the preparation of progress reports E; keep appropriate records including attendance E; establish and maintain rapport with school personnel E; other duties as assigned E; establish and maintain standard of pupil behavior for a productive learning environment during class sessions and field trips E; communicate with parents and school counselors on pupil progress E; participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities E; coordinate with site administration E REQUIREMENTS: 1.
