Reports To: Process Automation Manager
Location: Moab, Utah
- Learn and assist with PI System administration (OSIsoft), an industrial data historian used for real-time data collection and analysis.
- Gain experience in PLC programming, including:
- Ladder Logic
- Function Block Diagrams
- Structured Text
- Support integration and troubleshooting of industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Learn the fundamentals of PID loop tuning to improve system stability and performance.
- Assist in analyzing control loop behavior and adjusting tuning parameters under supervision.
- Participate in power study coordination using SKM Power Tools software.
- Assist in analyzing short circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies.
- Help update one-line diagrams for electrical systems.
- Support the development of engineering drawings using Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Document control logic, network architecture, and system configurations.
- Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians on automation and electrical projects.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to project planning and troubleshooting efforts.

- Data Science, including data visualization, statistical analysis, or machine learning in industrial contexts
- Process Design, including process mapping, optimization, and control integration
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or GED
- Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communications required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite PC software
9/80 schedule, Monday - Thursday, 9-hour workdays, Fridays worked, 8-hour workday, with every other Friday off. Schedule subject to change.
- Combination of outdoors, in a non-temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditions, and in an indoor, temperature-controlled office environment
- Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Standing, walking, using hands, reaching with hands, climbing and stooping up to 2/3 of the time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. – lifting will be required up to 2/3 of the time
- Must be able to climb and descend vertical ladders and stairs
- The environment may consist of moving mechanical parts and high/precarious places
- Must be able to perceive color differences
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed
