Job Summary
Help Desk Technician

Under the supervision of IT Management staff, the Help Desk Technician will provide tier-I technology support to users throughout the district. This position is crucial in providing high-quality technology assistance and support across our school sites and departments. The ideal candidate will understand various technologies, including devices (iPads, Chromebooks, Windows), VoIP phone systems, email services, user accounts, application settings, printers, and troubleshooting broken devices. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to multitask, and a customer-focused approach to assisting students, staff, and faculty. In addition to providing help desk support, the role also involves maintaining inventory, repairing devices and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate district needs or special projects. Work in a dynamic environment that presents various technical challenges and offers opportunities for growth.

Requirements / Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent (required)
Ability to travel between district sites as needed. Valid CA Driver's License (required)
CompTIA A+, or equivalent related technology certifications (preferred)
Associates (AA) degree (desired), Coursework in Computer Science or related fields (desired)
Experience providing technical support, preferably in a K-12 education setting (preferred)

Classified Salary Schedule #3, Range 22; $21.45 - $28.75
