- Perform financial and valuation analyses for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, estate and gift tax, ESOPs, and litigation support.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret financial data, industry research, and market trends to support valuation conclusions.
- Develop detailed valuation models, appraisals, and supporting documentation using accepted methodologies and standards.
- Conduct independent research into industry, market, and economic factors relevant to engagements.
- Prepare clear and compelling written reports, memoranda, and presentations that communicate valuation findings.
- Supervise and mentor Valuation Analysts, reviewing workpapers and providing feedback.
- Collaborate with partners and other service lines to ensure quality deliverables and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain awareness of current valuation and accounting standards (GAAP, GAAS, IFRS, ASC 805 & 820).
- Participate in proposals, client meetings, and other business development activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- 2-4 years of valuation or related experience; public accounting background a plus.
- Attainment of or progress toward professional development (CFA, ABV, ASA, CVA) strongly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with valuation of businesses and intangible assets, purchase price allocations, and equity compensation valuations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated.
- Willingness to stay up to date through continuing professional education.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
