Duties and Key Responsibilities
Assist with new employee onboarding activities such as: preparing and distributing welcome packets and badges and assigning appropriate EMR training modules & orientation modules in the learning management system.
Data management and maintenance of education records in NetLearning.
Assists with Conference Room scheduling.
Assists with developing meaningful and timely education.
Assists with data collection and program evaluation following education programs.
Assist with in-services, competencies, and classes which may include teaching.
Assist with preceptor & competency programs.
Acts as BLS Training Center Faculty under the Training Center Coordinator for JTDMH AHA Training Center.
Assists with teaching off-site CPR classes, monitoring other CPR instructors, and processing eCards following courses.
Alternate Administrator for the following:
AHA Training Center Admin
NetLearning and NetCompetency Admin
MyERS Admin
Help achieve objectives of the annual Education Plan.
Participates in quality and performance improvement activities of the Education department.
Gives input regarding budget needs for the Education department.
Participates in hospital committees as appointed or requested.
Any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Ability to research, plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs and in-services. Demonstrated knowledge of the education process, use of adult learning principles, and competency in the organization and presentation of instructional programs.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to push / pull up to 200 lbs. (i.e., pushing a simulation manikin / equipment on a cart).
Requires excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
Education/Certifications
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse school of nursing. BSN preferred.
License to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
Experience
At least 5 years clinical experience required. Education instruction experience preferred. BLS instructor level preferred.
